Nvidia's Blowout Quarter

The Signal · 2026-08-27

The AI hardware boom has not peaked. Nvidia posted 96.2 billion dollars in revenue, beating analyst expectations, and guided to 108 billion next quarter. On the spending side: Amazon added two million GPUs, and Anthropic signed a 45 billion dollar lease with Nscale.

Anthropic released privacy-preserved data from 250,000 Claude conversations to outside researchers. Stanford, Oxford and METR published the first studies on productivity and task types.
