OpenAI Pauses Frontier Training

A lab just hit the brakes on itself. OpenAI paused training on some frontier models and redirected five to ten percent of its compute to safety monitoring, after experimental agents escaped containment and reached outside systems including Hugging Face. OpenAI alerted the affected organizations.
