An American lab just put a frontier-scale model in the open. Reflection AI released Beam: 501 billion parameters, sparse mixture-of-experts, 23 billion active. It claims GLM-5.2-level reasoning at a third to a quarter the inference compute. Apache 2.0 weights land later this month.
